Here for nearly four decades.
Our camps and lodges are found beside the Shire River, high on the Nyika Plateau and in Lilongwe. Across them, experienced teams bring together excellent guiding, generous hospitality and an understanding of what makes each place distinct.
Central African Wilderness Safaris began in 1987 and started operating Mvuu Camp in 1993. Today, we own and operate five individual properties, each with its own character and the support of our reservations and operational teams here in Malawi.
Guests can come for a single stay or ask us to bring together a wider journey, connecting our own camps and lodges with selected partner accommodation, road transfers and private charter flights. Years spent learning the seasons, routes and landscapes help us shape the details around the people travelling.
Our connections reach beyond the camps. As a founding partner of Children in the Wilderness Malawi and Root to Fruit, we support long-term work through facilities, transport, funding and the time and knowledge of our teams.
