Mountain biking
Mountain biking offers a different sense of scale on the Nyika Plateau. Cycling trails lead through open highland grasslands, with the pace and route shaped around conditions and the guests taking part. It is available from Chelinda Camp and Chelinda Lodge. Suitability is considered around the individual guest, equipment and route.
Nyika’s weather and light can change quickly: clear views, mist, rain and frost all form part of the plateau’s character. Wetter periods bring green grasslands, orchids and seasonal flowers, while clearer periods open long views. Bring warm layers throughout the year and rain protection in wetter periods.
