Children in the Wilderness Malawi

From experience to opportunity.

What began with a first camp at Mvuu has grown into a long-term programme connecting children, schools, conservation and future pathways.

How it began

A first camp at Mvuu.

Ten children joined the first Malawi Children in the Wilderness camp at Mvuu in 2003. CAWS is a founding and long-standing partner, supporting camps, workshops, facilities, meals, transport coordination, staff and mentors.

The programme today

A relationship that continues through the year.

Eco Clubs create regular contact through schools, alongside field experiences, youth development, trained teachers and local mentors. The principal scholarship partnership has supported more than 350 students since 2006.
